My Way Of Spech
Throughout my 18 years of life I have developed my own "language". My own way of speaking, its slang mixed with Spanish, and words I probably make up and change the meaning of. My mom has this phrase I always notice her telling me "no seas malcriada." To my translation it means don't be rude. Ofcourse I don't think I'm rude, she just doesn't like/understand how I talk. Which is strange because I not only developed my speaking habits from her and my family, but most of all of us (my cousins, brothers, sisters, brother and uncle) all talk in a similar way such as myself. Music has also influenced my speaking habits, its something I listen to part of most of my day, weather its "clean" radio music or uncensored bay slaps. The words, the slang, it just gets stuck to you. Another influence in my life is my friends I would say because most of my friends are around the same age as me and we all understand each other clearly. Everyone around me family, friends, and artists I listen to all influence my speaking habits. None of them out weigh each other because all are apart of my daily life.

Interesting perspective. Reminds me of my own family on my mom's side, except most of them speak Tagalog and I can't.
ReplyDeleteI know I've made up my share of words.
Some feedback for future posts would be to segment your paragraphs and proofread when you're done. That way you'll find mistakes and your writing will be more manageable to read.
Great post.
